The Annual Psychic Fair

Toady I took a trip to our annual pychic fair. It was the first time I'd been since moving here and unfourtunately..it will be the last time.
The advertisment had listed a variety or readers for Tarot, Palmistry,Auras, etc. and vendors as well.
Turns out there was only 3 vendors there and they were all selling pretty much the same thing for outrageous prices( example...small desert sage bundles for 19.99). Then we went to visit with the readers. My daughter wanted to have her palm read, until we found that the reader charged $55.00. The Tarot reader cost $ 50.00 for basic reading and $10.00 per question asked. Now I do understand that this is their job, thier craft, the way of paying the bills. I've had both my cards and palm read before, but this was a bit ridiculous. I had hoped to meet other 'like minded' people in the area but everyone seems so closed off here. Noone talked to anyone else, everyone seemed to seperate themselves in their own little corner and it just made me feel sad.

I did have an aura photo taken when we first arrived and mine shows 3 colors and came with a card that explains their meaning....
Orange-heightened creativity,transmutes energy into action & strength
Aqua Blue- emontional empowerment, fourth dimensional magick, channeling is possible
White-soul is making progress, always accomanied by spirits or guides, purity & clarity
There was also a blob of red off to the top of my head and the card says that symbolizes that I carry a bit of stress or anger with me as well. Of course I have six teenagers so I will always be stressed. LOL So at least a enjoyed one thing about it.

All and all, It's my own expectations that is at fault. I was just so very excited about getting a chance to mingle within the pagan/psychic communtiy again that I created this specific picture in my mind. Then felt dissapointed when it didnt turn out that way. And I know better.
I guess I miss being in an open metephysical enviroment a bit more than I thought I did.

The Night Sky

Here are a few photos I took one night while laying in the grass in my back yard. I love the way the sky looks at night. To me it's very calming and exciting at the same time.
