The Annual Psychic Fair
Toady I took a trip to our annual pychic fair. It was the first time I'd been since moving here and unfourtunately..it will be the last time.
The advertisment had listed a variety or readers for Tarot, Palmistry,Auras, etc. and vendors as well.
Turns out there was only 3 vendors there and they were all selling pretty much the same thing for outrageous prices( example...small desert sage bundles for 19.99). Then we went to visit with the readers. My daughter wanted to have her palm read, until we found that the reader charged $55.00. The Tarot reader cost $ 50.00 for basic reading and $10.00 per question asked. Now I do understand that this is their job, thier craft, the way of paying the bills. I've had both my cards and palm read before, but this was a bit ridiculous. I had hoped to meet other 'like minded' people in the area but everyone seems so closed off here. Noone talked to anyone else, everyone seemed to seperate themselves in their own little corner and it just made me feel sad.
I did have an aura photo taken when we first arrived and mine shows 3 colors and came with a card that explains their meaning....
Orange-heightened creativity,transmutes energy into action & strength
Aqua Blue- emontional empowerment, fourth dimensional magick, channeling is possible
White-soul is making progress, always accomanied by spirits or guides, purity & clarity
There was also a blob of red off to the top of my head and the card says that symbolizes that I carry a bit of stress or anger with me as well. Of course I have six teenagers so I will always be stressed. LOL So at least a enjoyed one thing about it.
All and all, It's my own expectations that is at fault. I was just so very excited about getting a chance to mingle within the pagan/psychic communtiy again that I created this specific picture in my mind. Then felt dissapointed when it didnt turn out that way. And I know better.
I guess I miss being in an open metephysical enviroment a bit more than I thought I did.

Full Moon, Full Life
For me, the night turned out to be a time of reflection . We had this weird lighting going on and it looked so cool flashing across the sky next to the full moon. I tried to capture it in a picture but wasn't quick enough.
We lit up the fire pit & had a small ritual.
Afterward, watching my family run around playing in the yard, I thought about my life and all of the wonderful parts of it. My Husband, my kids, my friends.... even my pets contribute to my happiness.
I found myself thinking about how lucky I am to have a family that accepts me for me in all my Witchy-ness. I am blessed to have a husband & kids that not only support my craziness but encourages me as well.
We have gone through a few rough times this year & though I often complain about things, it seems, together and always seem to pull out of it with a smile. So ,starting now, I will look more for the positive in my life and try not to complain or linger on the negative.
I know that things are little things but they remind me of how very full my life is.
Moonlit Blessings to all,
A.Raiyne

So...Working out 'ain't' working out!
I was so excited to get to the gym today. Tuesday is Latin Aerobics class and we sweat our tails off dancing for an hour ,non-stop. Today is also the 3 month mark for my "New Me Plan" I decided to finally get myself into better shape. Ya' know, loose about 10-15 pounds
( I'm at 141lbs now) and tone up. So I changed my eating habits, start drinking lots of water and started working out at least three days a week. And tonight was the night I would finally see the pay off when I got on that scale. NOT!!!!
I gained 9 pounds!! NINE pounds!! What the Hell?? I 've been working my butt off. I stop snacking at night, I drink more water now than I ever have. And I hate water. I even eased up on the coffee, only drinking it in the mornings instead of all day like I used to. And that was hard for me to do. Coffee is like...Crack for me. I crave it and chocolate all the time.
I am so frustrated that I want to just give up. But I won't because I know I know that' muscle wieghs more than fat' and' first you gain then you loose'. I know all the stupid rules but it's still annoying.
Meanwhile my Hubby ,who hurt his back about a month & a half ago, has been feeling better in the last two weeks. So he started going back to the gym. He wieghed himself tonight and the man lost 6 pounds. HOW!!!
He's been laying on his back for the past month or so, doing nothing but eating snacks and junk food and he loses wieght!!
AARRGGHH!!!!
He can walk to the mailbox and loose 10 pounds. And me, I can bust my butt for months and I gain pounds.
He says that it's a man thing.
So I tell him he sucks and then walk to the freezer, grab the cool whip ,the bag of peanut M&M's and a spoon because working out aint' working out!
